Hello,
I'm trying to connect my bluetrek e2 headset with my lg kg800 chocolate. But it isn't working, I can't see the headset when I search for it...
Does anybody have experience with it? and can you try to explain it?
regards,
Bram

Re: lg chocolate with bluetrek headset problem
Did you also put the headset in "pairing" mode so that the phone could find it?

Re: lg chocolate with bluetrek headset problem
Well I try to, but the manual says "press until it flashes red and blue" but at me it does only go blue... And that's the next thing in the manual, but at me it does directly.
I forgot to say, it's used for a nokia before, maybe that does make some difference?

Re: lg chocolate with bluetrek headset problem
If your Bluetrek is like my Cardo Systems S-800 headset, you have to hold the power button in for about 8 seconds before it starts to flash red and blue. Once it does that, then you are ready to pair with your phone (which should already be in bluetooth search mode).

Re: lg chocolate with bluetrek headset problem
Do you still have your Nokia phone? If so, make sure it is turned off (in case your bluetooth headset is still trying to pair with it). What phone are you using now? Did you set its bluetooth option to ON? Do that first, and then hold the bluetooth headset power button in until it starts to flash red & blue (could take several seconds).

Re: lg chocolate with bluetrek headset problem
The nokia is still in my house, it's my dad's phone, and yes I did turn the bluetooth on (otherwise my phone can't even attempt to search) and when I switch the headset on then it won't flash red and blue, but blue only...

Re: lg chocolate with bluetrek headset problem
If your bluetooth headset won't start flashing red and blue even after you have held the power button in (usually 8-10 seconds), then the unit could be defective. In that case, return it for service or replacement.

Re: lg chocolate with bluetrek headset problem
This is from YOUR e2 maunal; To initiate pairing:
1. Place the BLUETREK® E2 and your mobile phone within 0.3 meter (1 foot) from each other.
2. Switch on your phone and select its Bluetooth® discover mode (refer to the Bluetooth® mobile phone user manual).
3. When the BLUETREK® E2 is switched off, press and hold the TALK button for about 7 seconds until the indicator light flashes red and blue alternatively. And a sound can be heard in the speaker.
4. Once the mobile phone detects the headset, a "BLUETREK E2" message will be displayed. Follow the phone instructions to accept the pairing. The PIN code (or passkey) is 0000, then press "yes" or "ok".
If pairing was successful, the indicator light will switch to blue and flashes slowly. If you haven’t started the discovery mode within 5 minutes, the headset will switch off. You must then switch on your headset and start the pairing again. If you find this post helpful, click on bottom of each post: Like l Share
