I hope someone here can help me quickly. I need to get some pictures from my phone to my comp for ebay and I don't have any cables. I had been able to bluetooth before my clean install of Vista.

The phone is an LG Swift Alltel.

I have a Dell Inspiron 1520 that I recently clean installed windows vista on after getting a bad Trojan Horse.

Since the clean install, I've been unable to send pictures from my phone via bluetooth to my computer. I was able to do this before the clean install.

I have "allow bluetooth devices to connect to this computer" checked as well as "allow bluetooth devices to find this computer". My phone also shows up in my devices under network and sharing......bluetooth.

I have everything set up. My phone is paired with my computer but when I try to send a picture from phone to comp via bluetooth, I get the message on my phone "transfer failed".

I also have NIS 2009 on this laptop and connect through a wireless router. The only difference from before the clean install as far as the router is concerned is that I now have the router secured using WPA-2. I have no idea if that would effect bluetooth at all but I would assume not.

    Any ideas?

Thanks for the response. I actually talked to a Dell tech yesterday. We found that I was able to bluetooth an image from my computer to my phone, just not the other way around. He said it must be that I need to install the bluetooth driver software for my phone onto my laptop. This makes sense since the drive in "device manager" has a yellow exclamation point.

I can't, however, find the drivers anywhere. That is what I don't understand. I'm almost positive that when I got my phone and paired it with my laptop and it worked before my clean install of Vista, the drivers were downloaded via bluetooth. I'm sure I never had a disk or usb cord for my phone. Now, I am at a loss as to how to get those drivers.
