Bluetooth handsfree won't connect - makes the phone do weird stuff!
-
Hi,
They are soon changing the law in my country to ban talking on a cellphone while driving, so I thought I would get a bluetooth kit before it becomes law.
I bought an Avantalk Bluetooth speakerphone (Multipoint) BTCK-12b.
The phone I am using is one I imported from China, and has no brand name on it. It has both the handsfree and head set profiles, as do the bluetooth kit. So in theory it should work fine.
I followed the instructions for the bluetooth kit, and the phone detected it. I paired it up succesfully, and then when the phone connects with the device, the device makes a loud beep, the phone's screen goes blank, and then the phone starts up again. When the phone starts again, the bluetooth is turned off, this then shortly turns itself back on, connects to the bluetooth device and the whole sequence starts all over again. It will continuously repeat this sequence until I either turn the handsfree kit off, or the bluetooth on the phone.
Can anyone help me with this? It is very frustrating, and I don't want to have to get another bluetooth kit, or at worst, another phone.
Thanks.

Go to your bluetooth device's website, you should find a list of compatible phones...
