i stated an example.i have an old plan called ^U40^ which includes pix/text/web + more.there is a plan called Z40 \ U40 which are ALmost the same. even though the promo plans where discontinued months/years ago (because there are better plans like V40) i didnt get disconnected & im still on the old plan.Metro PCS respects the client so much that they give the promo plan 4 EVER.This includes the old promo plan U30 AND the NEW plan M30.IM PROOF. Re: Metro Vs. Boost unlimited
Ha ha (info4u)...I love the way you think you know everything, and can't even ***** correctly! Did you graduate high school? First of all, Verizon sucks...they inhibit their users' download capabilities to make more money from their app store, and since they acquired Alltel (and ruined Alltel's good name), their service has gotten considerably worse. Secondly, Verizon IS NOT a 4G Network. It is 3G (where available), which is the same as Sprint currently; however, Sprint has just announced that they are merging into the 4G market and have already started pushing phones out with 4G as a top speed. Third, I'm not sure what viewpoint you are seeing this from, but MetroPCS is a very low-end bottom line service provider. They are among the top prepaid or contract service providers with the most dropped calls and poorly rated service. They have limited download capability and spotty service areas. Last but not least, Boost Mobile, while having text-delay issues with their iDEN network, their CDMA network has been flawless thus far, especially with the addition of their new Blackberry Smartphone service plan. Boost Mobile will never be "bought out" by MetroPCS, especially since they are OWNED by Sprint Nextel, which is a much larger company than MetroPCS, has plenty of loyal customers and companies that use and purchase their service and products, and has been around much longer than the smaller MetroPCS.

Re: Metro Vs. Boost unlimited
I dont know about Metro. But Boost sucks cause they will not let you change youR RINGTIME/VOICEMAIL this is the limmitation in their service agreement you have to sign. Only thing is they dont specify what the limmitations are when you sign up. SEE THREAD ON RINGTIME. i WOULD GO METRO so long as they let you toggle voicemail on/off and change ringtime. I will do what ever I have to to send customers away from boost, untill they change this FATAL FLAW. I have lost freinds due to not being able to answer my phone, and that sucks.

Re: Metro Vs. Boost unlimited
LOL Oh my...that's paints a clear picture as to what kind of cell phone user you are. You would base an entire company's image on the fact they don't have an option to change ring time? If you had, in fact, done any research, you would know that they do allow you to change the length of the ring, and they even have ringbacks. Voicemail is very simple to change. If you want to change the ring time length, call the 1800 number and ask them...all it requires is one click of their mouse.

Re: Metro Vs. Boost unlimited
I second that. Boost Mobile CDMA is where its at, with their Sprint coverage, High Speed Internet and you can use sprint phones due to the fact that they are just reselling sprint service under their name.

That is absurd, just ridiculous. All you have to do is call customer service and they can change your ringtime and disable voicemail.

Tru dat

HA! you fool, metroPiece of Crap is all they will be.
4G is far away and you need to talk only about the present not the future. Their 4G will suck due to the fact that they only use the cheapest stuff for their network. All of their phones are made up of reused parts from older phones that manufacturers received back from the big carriers through insurance and manufacturers warranty exchange. Why do you think their phones have horrible build quality and they can sell a phone for $29.

Re: Metro Vs. Boost unlimited
ok now i've read through the whole forum and here's my take on this.....
i've been a boostmobile customer since they came out and never had a problem with them. tethering my cell to laptop for internet usage was not that bad surfing either. had the blackberry with them and never had a problem with it either.
now, just recently my kids had me try metropcs i bought the huawei ascend m860 android which is supposed to be 3g "its not".
surfing the net is alot slower then with my boostmobile. metropcs was connecting as 1xrttt and never once seen 3g show up on screen as connection speed.
sad thing is...i only live 4 blocks away from there tower also. and according to there network map i'm right in there supposed 3g service area too. sucks that they advertise as supposedly being a 3g service and there not. 2g if even that is all you get with them.
read the other forums on net and you'll see they do not have 3g service...its basically 2g thats it.
nothin but probs since i got this metropcs cell less then a month ago...and tech support sucks and dont know half of technical stuff what i was telling them.
but the good thing about metropcs android cells is...they can be hacked easily lol
boostmobile i'm coming back to ya

oh, and the boostmobile cells i've had have been cdma, not iden cells...big difference there

Re: Metro Vs. Boost unlimited
Boost and MetroPCS offer terrible customer service. MetroPCS has improved their call quality. Nevertheless, Metro is BIT HIGHER of customer service. Sprint/boost is a terrible company to deal with and slim to null to get any customer service. What, I like to know which one has better international call quality. Boost also drops call and has terrible call quality many times. I prefer Metro than Boost. I would never get Boost with such an obnoxious and disrespectful customer service thet provide.

Re: Metro Vs. Boost unlimited
MetroPCS sucks terrible, horrible customer service.
For over a week I argued, begged & pleaded at every level, 6 store reps, 6 online reps. In my opinion all of them incompetent and many rude. Autopay account deleted and recreate at least 4 times. Everyone keeps saying the same thing just go in and update to account info. The account was even verified by a Corporate Center supervisor. Phone service has been shut off twice. Even after the store manager at the corporate Center assured me that it ad been restored.
Then I found the emails for coroprate HQ. Two emails to three execs and the problem was fixed in two hours. You do the math. Corporate email, fax number, phone number and my complaint letter is at swensonstudio slash MetroPCS.htm
