Does the blackberry, pearl, Iphone, etc work with Boost Mobile Service? Boost Mobile unlimited nationwide, text, web, walkie talky service for $50 is a great deal but their phone seem wack and cheap. Does the blackberry, pearl or anyphone that works with T-mobile, at&t and other carriers work with Boost Mobile as the carrier. Thanks in advance.

I have been using the 8350i on Boost for a few weeks. I can confirm that sending out text messages does not work. Talk, Walkie Talkie, Internet works when you download the Opera Browser.

Re: Does the blackberry, pearl Iphone, etc work with Boost Mobile Service?
There most certainly is a workaround for texting - I have a nextel 8350i working on boost and i just got texting to work. web browsing works as well, after connecting to wifi and then downloading opera mini...

however, if you are interested then email me at nicole420pm on aol (haha) and i'll send u the link..if i post 20 times or something i guess i can come back and edit this with links

Hot is a relative term, but with Boost or even Nextel only two companies make phones for them: Motorola and RIM. Motorola hasn't made a relevant phone since the RAZR and RIM doesn't churn out iDEN Blackberries very often. In fact, the 8350i is the first one in quite a while.

[quote=NYMale;1333886]Thanks for the replies. I mean if access to data wont work I rather not get it. Do they have any hot phone that u know about?[/QU OTE]
YES the data will work - everything will work - there is a workaround that i'm sure you can find with enough research..the only thing that will never work on the bb curve on boost is bb messenger and bb browser won't work without a wifi connection - which is why you must download a different browser like opera mini when not using wifi.
Also, I spoke to customer service at boost and they said that they also have an unlimited CDMA plan as well - the only difference is that tax is not included so it is $50 plus tax. This plan is available for existing Boost customers who wish to use the Sprint network...
So.....I haven't used it myself but i have HEARD that you could use any sprint phone with this plan, including any sprint blackberry phone...I heard that you have to again use work arounds to get all the features working on the bb pearl..
As far as I could tell all the boost phones are garbage and overpriced
I had to back up my phone, then delete the browser, then add a service book, then reinstall the browser to get the texting to work on my bb curve- but now it works perfectly...
I wish that i could post links on here but it won't let me..Last edited by nicole420pm; 07-09-2009 at 05:11 PM. Reason: Auto-merged Double post
