Go to harrythompson.com there he's got software and a great how-to along with extensive troubleshooting pages. All free. Even create your own ringtones and wallpapers using your existing music and pictures. Also i believe the i776 also accepts .wav and .mp3 files. Also Zedge.net is a free site to get ringtones.

Re: Boost Mobile i776 ringtones
You have to have a usb data cable to transfer ringtones to your phone. I use webjal to upload ringtones, wallpapers, and java applications. I use dbpoweramp to convert ringtones to the proper format.
For mp3 the format is 8khz, 32kbps, mono. The ringtone should be about 200kb in size.
For wav tones the format is 8khz, 8kbps, mono. The ringtone should be about 400kb in size.
For midi tones they should be in type 0 format and about 28kb in size.
Hope this helps.
