Going to buy a cheap phone and sign up for the 10 cent a minute deal tommorow. Any hidden things I should know since I've never been with boost before? I'd like to hear the good and bad. I've heard about the text deal. I don't really text that much being older. I just want a phone to use occasionally when I actually leave work, and home. Is 10 cents really 10 cents per minute if I disable internet?

Say I put down $50 plus tax. Do I actually get 500 minutes, or is there peak times bs that cost more?

P.s. I just ditched the iphone after 28 days of my 30 to take it back before I had to pay to get out of the contract. WAY too much money a month, ($30) extra, for under 1 meg download speeds, when they advertise 3.6 megs. pffffft.
My bill was going to be $93 a month for the lowest bill they had for it, minus $5 for 200 text messages, so about $85 is the cheapest for it.

This website is a joke. Almost 600 views and a whole whopping 4 replies????? lol. Guess I should go somewhere else for a response within a YEAR.

I suppose this might come as a surprise to you, but the members here don't exist just to reply to your thread. It could be that no one has the answer or any experience with Boost. I certainly don't. I know that Boost uses Nextel's network. I have no experience with Nextel. I have used Sprint, VZW, AT&T, and T-Mobile, but I have never used a prepaid service. As a last point, people viewing the thread doesn't always translate to members or knowledgeable ones. They could be guests or new members.

    Re: Anything I should know?

funny how I finally get a response that has nothing to do with one or three of my questions, yet you come in and lay down the law. Maybe you guys need more mods that know what the **** they are doing, and have some real answers to our questions before a YEAR goes by. What the hell is the point in having a website to post questions that don't get answered for a month or longer until one of you mods come by and ridicule us for not liking your website because of the delay.

If you have the answer, the by all means, please reply mod, but if not, don't bother telling me how websites that have nobody checking in within a day or WEEK, may not have the answer. I know NO other website that can have 600 views, and 4 replys that takes a month or two. LOLOLOLOL.

I came here for some answers, and by god if you can't give them to me mr. mod, then don't reply. These are legit questions.

I am not a mod. I am a member just like you. I have answers to certain questions as well as I have my own questions that need answers. As to laying down the law, I did no such thing. I am simply saying that because people don't respond, don't ridicule them for not responding.
