i was thinkin about gettin somethin around the price of a maxima, grand prix, something around there.. although id like a camaro insurance would be hell.
any reccomendations as to what car, how much do nissan skylines go for? used? older years?
if i bought a relativley slow car so insurance would be less, could i soup it up and upgrade it so it would be like 200+ HP and 0-60 that keeps up with maximas and whatnot? would that be cheaper too?
really though, throw out some ideas plz

Laughs.. You're never gonna get a Nissan Skyline. Used ones go for around 50 thousand (and I mean.. REALLY used), and that's the R33 model; that you probably don't have in mind. You're thinking of the R34, and used R34's go for 90k USD +.
Anyway, Maxima is a slow car; and you'd have a very tough time with insurance if you had anything like ECU under the hood. Anyway, if you're talking about new Maxima's; a WRX would do. Used ones go for 15k, new ones go for 20k. Used ones.. just get a 240SX.

Instead of R32; RX8.. the warranty covers engine rebuild; so it's really cheap for the price. And.. probably better than the made in mexico R32. VW was never good with reliability. Only the European versions.

The RX-8 is a great car too. But I just don't like the way it looks.
As far as VW's and reliability, I have a pretty heavily modded Mexican 1.8T Jetta and I haven't had any problems with it.
