im looking for a truck, like a 1997 or newer, something like a 4-door pick up that I can put a Wrecker kit on (pref. a dually)... I dont know what to look for, my price range is around 10k... got any ideas?

get a f150 or dodge ram, prices are plummeting on those puppies what with all the employee pricing promotions and what not.

I dunno... for a wrecker kit you probably wanna go F250... 150's are light duty and set up to tow a boat or little trailer for recreation, if you're gonna haul nonstop I think you'd kill it fast
and my Father in Law sold his 99 dually F350 rear wheel drive for 12k....

alright... here's what I got so far... Ive got $12k to spend... or play with, whatever i feel like (lol
), anyway, you just CAN'T use an F-150, jeanie, yes, you can use an F-250 (i was just looking at one, but they're $$ lol), and i'll tell you why... IT'S A 3/4 TON TRUCK! you need a 3/4 ton or higher weighted truck for their braking systems. I need help finding one though... Here are my current thoughts...
Dodge Ram 2500
Dodge Ram 3500
Chevy 2500
Chevy 3500
Ford F250
Ford F350 (dually or not)
