theres this guy in my neighboorhood is very cocky and doesnt know anything about cars, just got a civic. well, i have a civic too, but its really a grocery getter and perfect for commuting, this guy said he can beat any car racing in his neighborhood, and will race anyone. he's cocky in his civic, hes challenging me friday night to a race, and in an urban area, i think hes just crazy to race in an urban area, esp where cops always patrol at night. Did you have similar experiences like these, im pressured into racing this guy, i really want to whoop his behind, but im also at the same time, thinking of my safety and also dont want to go to jail. if i refuse, he cockiness will go even bigger, but its just an old civic, i just dont know if my 92 civic will perform so well. What do guys think of this?

Re: cocky ricer in a civic is challenging me
Think about safety. Do you want to be responsible for the death of a little kid or someone's pet? That would be horrible! I would personally be less concerned about the legal penalties than with the risk of ruining someone's life or taking it from them altogether. I just think it's damn irresponsible and stupid to be racing around on public streets and you could kill someone.

save the racing for non residental roads find a highway or commerical street...I mean dont do that its illegal lol...People are always cocky when they have a ricer. Of course I drive a Camaro so there not so cocky when I pull up...LOL. hmmm 5.7 liter vs what around a 1.8...

Well Ace, since the others gave you the safety advice, I'll give you some psychoanalyltical BS advice. I can empathize with you Ace, I can understand that you just want to shut this cocky a$$hole up by racing him. But, what if you do beat him or what if he beats you? So what? There will always be some other guy out there that thinks he's better than you. IMO, what's the point? While he's wrenching on his car, trying to beat everybody else in town, date his girlfriend.
