Pandawill: This car keys do not have memory in it, you may got TF card which you could find on our site also.

Can micro SD card be used?? And also what is the max. size of memory that it will support? It is true that the video format is 1280X960 instead of the VGA 640x???? And also if the format is 1280X960, what is the average memory size it will take up for 1 minute of video?,,,,
Pandawill: hi, Alan, thanks for your question. Yes, you are right . The video format for the car key is 1280X960,and the speed of it is 30M/Min. So the SD 4GB TF card will shoot a video for 120mins. regards !

Can you please explain how to charge the battery ?
Pandawill: Hi, jason, you will find a USB charger in the package which you can plug in the charger port. The yellow light will be on when you are charging and yellow light will be off when car key is full Charge Capacity . Regards !

Hello everybody,
This is my first reply so let me know if there is anything wrong with it.

I bought one of these "808 car keys Micro-camera" video recorders from Hong Kong on ebay (an 8GB version) and have been using it for a while so I wrote a review. I posted the review and some sample images and video on my website. Here is the summary. The link at the end has the full review.

OVERALL IMPRESSION
Once you figure out how it works, and understand it's limitations, it works amazingly well. It is useful as a "webcam" quality spy video camera, a good quality audio recorder, a toy quality photo camera, or an 8GB flash drive.

MISLEADING CLAIMS - Claim: 1280x1024 photos. The native CMOS resolution seems to be 640x480. Still images are up scaled to 1280x1024 in the JPG file. Claim: 30 fps video. The native fps is about 12.5 and the AVI fps is 25. Claim: 2 hour record. The flash might hold that much but the battery is out at about 50 minutes of video.

DOCUMENTATION - The documentation is a legendary example of broken English and is barely understandable. With intuition and trial and error you can figure it out.

AUDIO - The audio quality and recording levels are good and not over modulated, so consider using the video recorder as an audio recorder.

VIDEO - The color video quality is like a cheap webcam with video noise and a slow shutter that results in motion blur. Because the camera has no mass, hand held shake is severe. It's best to use it on a solid surface. The native frame rate seems to be about 12.5 fps and each frame is duplicated to 25 fps in the AVI file. The automatic video exposure works and is optimized for indoor light or a cloudy day. In bright outdoor light the video is over bright and washed out. The small date time stamp in the upper left corner of the video can not be disabled. The total AVI bit rate seems to depend on the video content. I'm still studying that.

PHOTOS - There is a very slow shutter and an huge lag time. The still image resolution is 640x480 and is up scaled to 1280x1024 in the JPG file.

NOTE - There seems to be more than one variation of this camera. It's available with 2, 4 or 8GB. Also there is a version in the same case but with white buttons that might be functionally different. I've seen sample video for that one that seems much better than mine.
