Sony Ericsson Z550 Review

This is a review of the Sony Ericsson Z550.

This phone really sucks. It really really sucks. I signed up for Suncoms 2 year plan and got this phone for $30. It was an absolute ripoff after what happened to me, and I would really not recommend this phone. First I had it for one week, and had all my contacts and stuff on my phone, and I took some time to add these things, as I always do when I get a new phone. It worked fine, but suddenly the keypad stopped working. I tried everything from smacking all the buttons to removing the battery. After I got really frustrated, I called Customer Service, and they said they would send me a new phone. I got the phone, and thinking the last phone was just a fluke, added all my contacts, AGAIN. The phone worked for about 2 months, and then the charge never seemed to charge the battery enough. I would charge it overnight, and in the morning it would say CHARGE COMPLETE and it would display a full battery meter, which in an hour would show no battery, and the phone would promptly die. I wasn't using Internet, or doing some sort of phone-battery sucking activity, in fact I was hardly using it. I sent it in again, but instead of getting this phone again, I asked for another one. They said they could give me a Sony Ericsson W300i, but for 20 dollars more. I said Ok, and recieved that phone, and as of today, have had no major problems. I would give this phone a 2/10 and not recommend it to anyone!

PROS:

• Looked nice
• Felt good in hand

CONS:

• Buttons were unusable sometimes
• Battery life bad
• Bad picture quality
• Overall horrible phone
