I have no idea of that but look at this one,

    You've got a sheet of paper 16 x 9 whose area is 144 units^2.
Just by one cut,(straight, diagonal, cross, zig-zag, any but one cut only) and rearrangement how will you convert it into a paper of 12 x 12? No paper shoould be wasted.

This one I liked very much, though the posts in this forum are dusty old!
Well, it is time to revive it a little -I want to suggest my site "rooms.jmpup.com" which generates the puzzles, similar to ones in a famous book "The Lady or the tiger" by Raymond M.Smullyan.

    Enjoy! And lets discuss!

How quickly can you find out what is unusual about this paragraph? It looks so ordinary that you would think that nothing was wrong with it at all and, in fact, nothing is. But it is unusual. Why? If you study it and think about it you may find out, but I am not going to assist you in any way. You must
do it without coaching. No doubt, if you work at it for long, it will dawn on you. Who knows? Go to work and try your skill. Par is about half an hour.

    and this one too...

A rich man named Warren Franklin had been counting his money. When he finished, he accidentally left a $1000.00 bill on his desk but when he returned for it a short while later, it was gone. Only two other persons could have seen the bill. One was the cook; the other was the gardener. The cook told him that she had hidden it for safekeeping under a green book that was on the desk. But when they looked the bill was not there. The gardener said he had found the bill where the cook had left it. He had placed it inside the book, where he thought there was less chance that somebody would find it. He had written down the page numbers so that he would not forget them. The bill was between pages 45 and 46, he said. But when they looked, there was no money in the book. After Mr. Franklin had talked to the cook and the gardener, he called the police. He was sure he knew who had taken the money. Who was it, and how did he know?

green writing paragraph - its unusual because it has no letter "e" in the paragraph. then again, the word "unusual" is subjective...

purple paragraph - the gardener. the pages 45 and 46 are not adjacent. if the book is a typical style book, page 1 should start on the right hand side of the book and therefor 45 and 46 dont touch.

However, i dont like that riddle, beacuse who's to say that page 1 didnt start on the left hand side?

im just playing Devil's Advocate here
