I think you're right about The Eye. You got the story plot. Those dead ppl are scary & that movie had some scary sound effects. The Japanese version of The Ring is definitely much scarier than the English remake.

When I was younger it used to be "The Amityville Horror". Then I moved on to "The Exorsist". In high school it was the "Nighmare on Elm Street" series of movies.
I've seen "The Ring" so many times I can quote it verbatim, and if it were on again in five minutes I'd watch it again.
Recently, tho, I watched "The Grudge" and that movie is SO excellent. I knew it was a good horror movie because halfway through I was already hearing things around the house and jumping everytime the dog farted.

Man, that is SO cheesy
I saw Nightmare on Elm Street a few weeks back during a Nightmare marathon. Looking back I think, "Man, that is SO cheesy." But at the time it was state of the art horror. Now the nightmare movies are more of a comedy than horror.
My dad used to always watch the old black and white horror movies, things like the Werewolf, Mummy, or dracula-type movies. I remember watching with him and thinking, "How can he watch this stuff, it's awful." But when my son gets to be my age he's going to look at some of the stuff we thought was cool and think..."Man, that is SO cheesy"
