I have got 2 tattoos: a horseshoe on my ankle and a heart on my left shoulder. My tounge is peirced, too

I dont really care, it's that person's body, let them do what they want with it

3 tattoos: maple leaf and chinese character for water on right shoulder and a blue K on left shoulderblade

I have 3 tattoos, 2 of them are pictured here:

The third is an armband on my right bicep of 2 tribal dragons facing off at each other.



I currently only have 2 piercing in my left ear, though I have though about piercing the right one. I have also thought about doing my nipples (I just have to convince the wife... and myself).

As for future tattoos... my artist is working on a half sleeve for my left arm, from the shoulder to the elbow. It will be japanese themed with the kanji script for the bushido (code of the Samurai) worked through it. I will also be getting masonic symbols on my neck (the same area Cozi got tattooed) and finally a legband on my right leg, probably an intricate celtic know.

Ordinarily I would agree with you, however, for me there is some significance and meaning.

i have 9 tattoos, but my fav is my mom tattoo on my foot. i also have my tongue, nose, and industial done! losts more tattoos to come..lol

I am 47. When I was 17, I had a second hole pierced in my left earlobe because I had all 14K gold earrings, but a few pairs lost a mate, and I figured a way to wear them. This was in 1975. It just wasn't done. I was the first person I or anybody else I knew who had done this. The following year, it started becoming a trend.
When I was 19, I got a rosebud tatoo done on the upper swell of my left breast, towards the center of my chest. Understand that at the time, only women of questionable repute or hardcore biker chics got tats. I was neither. Just a bit of a rebel. Never regretted either, but mind you, I can wear a cocktail dress or gown, or be in any social/business situation and not reveal it unless I choose a lower neckline or a push up bra.
You never know what paths life may open up to you, what line of work you may ultimately fall into and in very professional arenas, ill-placed tatoo(s) may prove to be embarrassing or a poor choice. Just something to think about. What you thought was the ultimate when you were 10, was passe when you were 13. What you think is a must-have at 16,20,25 may become a "what was i thinking??" later on. You might say...I don't care what people think, but there are situations that you may reconsider that, because you can only make a first impression the first time.
An amusing true story: When my nephew turned 19, he decided to get his tongue pierced. It flashed when he talked, newly created speech impediment made it impossible to overlook. I asked him; "For heaven's sake Ben, why on God's green earth would you get your tongue pierced?" He winked and replied cockily, "Auntie I, the ladies LOVE it." Without skipping a beat or giving in to the shock he expected to elicit, I fired back "Ben...if the ladies didn't like it before the piercing, then YOU weren't doing it right!" Hahahaha, all of the sudden all the cocky in him disappeared, and he was a wee shocked by my response. Oh, btw, it wasn't too long after that he decided to remove it. I didn't ask why, but I venture a guess that perhaps he decided to hone his skills w/o accessories.
