Compact Digcams

Hey,
i'm thinking of buying a digicam (well two actually)

The one I have in mind is the Pentax Optio S5i. This is really small and is well packed, and doesn't bulge in my pocket.

The other one i am thinking of as the discreet alternative is the Sony Cybershot DSC-u40 (in black)

Are there any alternatives? what do you recommend?

I have had a look at teh Casio Exilim S100 and the Sony Cybershot T3 already, but are a bit too expensive for me.

I'm only gonna spend £250 on the main one.

The lil one is something extra, not necessary

I'm getting my new camera any day now, I'm so excited,
I've gone for a fuji finepix .... 5.2 mega pixel and its small so I can fit it in my pocket....

I'm getting mine wholesale so I'm not sure how much they will retail or even if they are available where you are Speedy...

Either way (retail or wholesale... or on sale) that camera is a good bargain for the amount of MP. The retail was marginably lower than any other models I've noticed.

Thats 21.3mm thick.
Its not too bad, but its a bit proporionally wrong to be carrying in your pocket on nights out IMO. For a square, its rather big.

The dimensions of the Pentax are 84x52x20.5mm

It looks like:

I like the thinness of the Kyocera SL400R, but its just a bit too long (Have a look at the table on the link if you wanna see dimensions)

I got it for $500
It also has a docking cradle included which is ace

The manual says the dimensions are
(wxhxd) 74.5mm x 62.3mm x 21.3mm

It's fine for me considering tha other digi cam I use (nikon coolpix) is huge

Man i got to get one of these gadgets, they look real good. kinda sick of my fone top notch quality pictures
