hmmm if your talking about new york based rappers who are holding it down...JAY-Z has been holding it down just as NAS has but the future is 50 Cent.. Just look how he has blown up in the past couple of years..i remember hearin' 50 before he was involved with the shady/aftermath camp and i think he's come a long way...Fab was tight when he first dropped and real talk is a nice cd..but i don't think he can carry the weight if these 3 other new york based rappers weren't around.. i also want to add that GANGSTARR has been holding it down since forever but hasn't sold as many records as these most of these "Commercial" artists.. theres just so many artists around, but in my opinion.. many of them carry the weight till the next n*gga comes along and takes hold of the stage...and changes the game...

50 Cent and The Game are on top this year. you can already see that How We Do peaked at #3, Disco Inferno #3, and Candy Shop #2 and rising....Candy shop is going to be huge just like In Da Club its full of sex and sex sells.

eminem, the game, and 50 they all have potential, but i gotta give it to kanye, before you say what the hell, think about it. He produces and raps and is apart of the ROC and who else is on the ROC ? Well your right Jay Z!!! That means Kanye has the means to take over the game. Heard diamonds are forever ? Heard the remix with Jay z ? the dude likes everything to be perfect. His first album was dope as hec and his second one has been remastered over 10 times and its release date gets pushed back each time, meaning he is going for perfection!
