i really hope people keep using midi ringers for a few reasons. namely, i think in many cases they just plain sound better. i'm sure the mp3's will get better as time goes on, but right now they are usually loud and extremely distorted. i know someone who has a phone with the "gentleman start your engines" and a bunch of revving race cars. this thing will scare the crap out of you every freakin' time it's so loud. you could probably hear this phone from 100 yards or more! also, from what i can tell, they're just not as accessible as midi's, there aren't NEAR as many of them (i can change my ringtone every day for 2 months), and they cost cash. that sucks. PLUS, this place will continue to die. i've notice a dip in the amount of people that come here (including myself for other reasons) and that sucks too.

    SAVE THE MIDIS!!

Nah i wouldnt say they are, i have much more midis than mp3 ringers, i prefer the crisp sound of midis, but that could be coz i make them myself so it feels good to hear dem! But i'd say midis are here to stay as ringers, they're still pretty new when ya think about it! only a few years.

Personally I prefer the midi rings. I hate hearing 50 cent as i'm walking down the street on someone's cell phone.
