Spammers on our boards!

hey mods,

is there a way we can post the names of users who are putting up spam/solicitations?

i've been looking for a link to where we can report them, but either it doesn't exist, or my eyes are burnt out.

maybe we could start a thread where we would post spamming membernames and links to their posts.

Well, posting the spammer names isnt useful though... they'll be banned.

i don't care how we do it, i just want them gone. they're like bugs. annoying and gross, and need extermination.

Dude, Scammers will never stop. So, there is no use in trying to stop them. The most you can do is report the said post, and let the moderators deal w/ it.

That's very much true, Spammers are, was, and forever will be here. But, there are meausre's CPF takes to prevent that, ie: the ALT forums, and the regestering tatctics (Ie reply to email to activate) to MOSTLY prevent bots, and scammers

Just do this and we'll handle them accordingly.

I even get spam calls on my cell phone - the worst! I have both home and cell phones set up on the DO NOT CALL list but they say they are selling the are doing a survey! right!... I was born yesterday
