I am leaving for tanzania on sunday. Going to climb kilimanjaro and spend time on safari on the serengetti and wondering if anyone has gone before and has any stories. Thanks.

haha, me? i have never been out of the USA or even out of the South. but your post spurred my curiosity, and I found some guy's blog about his 5-day trip to Tanzania and he definitely has a much more interesting life than mine. Also, his blog about Tanzania includes a few nice pictures that some of us can convert into wallpapers for our phones. so, let me take this opportunity to share someone else's life with you i hope your trip is a blast!!!

Thanks for the link brad. I have been to south africa and botswana but never east africa and climbing a 19000 mountain. 3 americans died last week in a rockslide so wish me luck. I will check back in with the forum in mid feb.

    Hi,

I have lots of friends who have been there, and its awesome.
Good luck in climbing, requires loooadddsss of energy but once you get up there, you will feel proud of yourself, that you have climbed the highest mountain in Africa

Wow, I just got back 2 hours ago. That mountain was amazing and I made the summit! I did get acute mountain sickness and spent only a few minutes at the summit. I am so sore and am going to lay off the mountain climbing for awhile! Tanznia and serengetti are amazing. Thanks for the reply.

The pics are beautiful! I'm going to use your kilimanjaro sunrise for my external LED display! The second link didn't work, as bear said, but the first link had some great pics! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks brad! I tried to add to your rep but it said I must spread it around to others first. I will check on link. I took 800 photos and someone should see em! I really enjoyed the trip. Sitting on the beach in miami right now and would rather be in Africa!
