I do a fair bit of overnight camping and backpacking, most of the time it's just day hikes. Work tends to have forced more day hikes in the past two years than I'd like, but any time you can get out in the foot hills and mountains in the PNW, is a good time.

    Caving? Do you mean spelunking?
My plan, since I moved from the Pacific Northwest to Florida is to become deep sea scuba certified. The water is sooooo much warmer here for that sort of thing.
A friend of mine stumbled across a geocache and brought it home. I read him the riot act for that one.
An exaggerated sense of entitlement is evident when one presumes privileges to be inalienable rights.
Good manners are never in bad taste.

the National Spielogical Society is calling it caving...I think the spelunk word is fading a bit.
