    The board records the IP addresses of users when they create a post. Moderators have access to this data.

    This way we can see where Skater is located (taking into account that he did not use proxies).

    yes... we can get IP's... I'm sorry that you were scammed, but innocent until proven guilty is the norm... I, personally, will not divulge an IP or a location. I will be happy to confirm or deny your suspicions - but will not volunteer any info that could endanger someone.... IP addreses lie even without proxies... if I was where my IP says I'd be having dinner with Tony right now

    But you seem to believe that we are responsible to help you? Do you understand that you took a risk by dealing, over the net alone, with a private party? Do you understand why these folks would rather avoid places with safeguards like ebay?
