Nope. I know this first hand from a customer who's Samsung A660 got run over by a car in the street because the belt clip from a Samsung leather case broke and she didn't notice until she had reached the other side of the street.

I sent it for her, explained what had happened, sent in the phone + the case (both pieces), and Samsung sent back a quote to fix the phone.

Personally, I'm in favor of this. Cases and clips don't make it "impossible" to wreck your handset. They simply provide more protection than without them. The user is still responsible for taking care of the handset, and making sure they're not snagging the case / clip on anything, etc.

Yeah... It would be like this. You buy a new keyboard, and connect it, then you hear a funny noise, then ur comp just goes out and you hear a snap. You look and it's smoking, well, ur keyboard just shorted ur pc, becuase it was faulty. That is the kind of thing I'm talking about, unless otherwise posted in the manual "IF this product causes damage to your system, we are'tn at fault" but not many things say that now a days. That is the kind of thing I'm talking about. But I can see the difference tho.

So say a Samsung OEM replacement battery shorts out your Samsung phone and wrecks it. Same thing, Samsung will replace the battery, but not the phone. Thing is, the company can't prove that it was indeed the battery that shorted the phone out. For all they know, you zapped the phone with 12 volts + / - on purpose, and blamed the battery (who knows, maybe you hated the phone in the first place?).

it wasn't a faulty clip, just an accident.
Anyway, the retailer replaced it for free, so everything is good ow.
