It seems that the average citizens are living and thriving in this post Hussen era. Increased wages, utilities (though it is spotty), and other things are changing, mostly for the good, in Iraq.
And as for "them" running their own countries, historically and from my personal opinion, if it were to happen, it would not last long. the current crop of Iraqs are so used to being ruled over by a tyrant that is seems probable that they will come to be under the same sort of government soon. The French peasants did the same thing once the majority got the chance to vote after their revolutions. Better the devil you know then the one you don't.

Why don't we reallocate our troops from Iraq to New Orleans, even though NO looks worse.
