Hi, i bought an adapter for my lg vx8100 so i could listen to music and such. I plugged the adapter in then pluggd apple headphones in and coudl only hear from the right, and it wasnt very loud either. I have no mp3s on it yet could it be when i get mp3s on it that it gives me stero options as well as a volume control.

Re: Sound only from one headphone

The jack in your cell phone is different than a regular audio jack. There are two channels in the cell phone and two channels in your headphones, BUT...one of the channels in your cell phone is for output (earpiece) and one is for input (microphone). Headphones have two channels for output. The cell phone is sending a signal to one of the channels and trying to pull from the other channel. That's why you're only getting sound in one ear. You could try getting a mono-to-stereo adapter to get the sound in both ears.
