New to cellphones. So signing up here is my first step in joining the tech-mob. First off, I was pissed about having to pay to use the features advertised for the phone. But i've gotten over that by just not paying for them and using the phone as is. It's one of the those slim-jim jobs. I love that part.

Then I find out about the huge charges for 411. What are people thinking? I read about 1-800-free411 and have used it a couple times. Aside from the ad, the results are fine.

Their website claims that they don't sell numbers, etc. but wanted to check with the pros to see if anyone had had any problems. I'm willing the listen to a short ad to get free directory assistance but don't want to get scammed.
