Cell Phone Stops Robbers Bullet

I heard this story on the radio yesterday. Roger Baxtor of Aurora, CO not only survived being hit by a tractor trailer (losing his leg in the process) was saved by a money clip and his cell phone after a robber pulled out a gun and shot him. BaxtorAfter being knocked off his foot, he got back up and the robber ran. The 15 year old boy and his acomplis were later caught and the teen later admitted that he shot Baxtor. Not that it matters, but Baxtor says he uses Verizon.

I'm sorry but was it the carrier or the phone?

If it was the phone that saved him, who manufactured it?

Most definitely. Talk about lucky. Of course the phone wasn't so lucky.

That's not really possible ? How do you test this ? A bullet leaves a gun going at "x" velocity. Everything from aerodynamics to wind resistance slow the bullet down. At some point, an object will reduce the bullet's velocity to zero. There's factors like angle, trajectory, etc etc etc. There's no way to "myth-bust" this particular scenario.
