Circuit City Plans to Reopen?

Is this true?

Well according to their website, available at http://circuitcity.com/closed.html they have plans of reviving the dead and opening their website.

Rumors have gone around and now I'm wondering if it's true.

When Circuit City stated, on their website, that they may reopen the site in the coming weeks, I assumed they meant they would reopen it for "liquidation information"...not sure anymore.

I really am just so sad that Circuit City is gone. Circuit City actually meant a lot to me...and now...poof...they're gone.

Yeh, I heard they're going to reopen the website after it is redone. I believe tiger direct bought the rights to the website.

Interesting ... Tiger Direct also bought out CompUSA.

I was also sad to see Circuit City go. The store by my house was less than 6 months old when they went out of business.

I'm not sure what has happened to the CompUSA "brick-and-mortar" stores, but I get frequent e-mail ads from them. Their nearest store was about 25 miles from where I live, although the building is not very far from where I work. I will have to check it out next time I'm there. CompUSA didn't always have the best prices, but if you kept your eyes open, you could get some good deals there. I wouldn't mind seeing them open their doors again; have some of them reopened already?

i'd be surprised if they reopened. every time i went into one of the circuit city stores, i just felt i didn't belong. no one came up to me if i was looking for something and the employees would always be busy doing nothing except chitchatting with other employees.
