I am wanting to find any former wireless industry employees who could help me in understanding what the wireless companies corporate strategies were in relation to the use of cellular devices while driving.
My mother was killed from a distracted driver. We have got to do something about this tragic occurrence that happens more and more everyday. I would just like any information to help me. Phone calls while driving are not worth someone's life. Even though it's too late for my mother and thousands of others I just want to talk to anyone who can help me figure out a way to change this culture of our society.
If you or anyone you know has been a victim or would like to help please contact me.
I plan to make this change happen!!!

Re: Driving and Talking on Cell Phone
Actually, wireless carriers are GREATLY in favor of hands free laws and cell phone use ban.
Verizon Wireless and Sprint PCS together lead the campaign to make it illegal to not use a hands free device in California in addition to prohibiting minors from using a wireless device altogether.
Verizon Wireless and AT&T constantly advertise hands free campaigns.
Also, wireless carriers profit off of these laws and restrictions. People go and buy a bluetooth headset. People would rather use a headset than not have a wireless device at all or get tickets for holding one while driving.
