Do you think the economy is better?

In the nearly past one year, do you think economy is better? When will we walk out of the recession? People say the economy is getting better. Is that because it can't be worse any more? At least the unemployment rate is still very high.

I'd have to say no. Even though I don't feel it in my wallet I know a lot of people who do. Add to that that a bank here got broke and there's enough stuff again to drve people nuts.

I can tell you that it IS getting better...but not necessarily a lot.

I feel with the Recovery and Reinvestment act, we've accomplished many things and hit a few birds with just one stone.

1. National highway maintenance. I've been seeing a lot of this happening locally, to my area. Not only is this making our roads safer to travel, it is paying the pay checks of those who are doing it.
2. National Youth Work Program. My son was capable of having his first summer job, which was funded by the Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
3. Renewable energy--that's just good.
4. National Broadband Internet--that would be great. All that works at my house is Verizon Wireless High Speed Broadband.

Besides the benefits of what has been done, the economy last week jumped the highest it EVER had into the green. According to experts, it jumped higher than it would have in the best NON Recession times.

Stock market is already back up despite other markets still being down...

I think it is. The real estate begins to back up. More and more people going shopping at the weekends. All signs indicate that the economy is better, at least here in my country.

Have an open mind and a "placebo" effect may help too, but it really is improving.

The housing market in my area is now improving drastically.

Two months ago, the cheapest house you could get was $125,000. Now, the cheapest house you can get in my area is $210,000. Remember, I live in California so prices are a bit steeper naturally, but still...

i think it is getting better,because people live in our city all have better life than before

Production is what really determines a country's wealth. The air money is just numbers on papers you can't eat that. Eventually there will be a restructuring of the financial section I think.

now its too bad...

It is getting worse day by day. The unemployment rate is raising due to economic recession.
