Hello, newbie to this forum, looking for advice. I have four lines with AT$T, two of which are coming up for renewal. I am on a family plan. My daughter needs a new phone as her's was unfortunately stolen. Fortunately, her phone is one of the one's coming due for renewal. She wants a Tilt 2 to replace her original Tilt. Again, unfortunately, AT$T wants $300.00, I believe, with no price break. I inquired to third party provider Let's Talk, who advised that they would also charge me $300.00, as this is not the so called 'main line', my son's line is, who is also up for renewal. I can get this phone for $200 with a $200 rebate. My question is: If I order this phone for my son, would I have to activate it with his number or does it come unactivated, which would perhaps allow me to use my daughter's number. Or is there another way to make this my daughter's phone? I have been with AT$T for many years and pay in a timely manner so I don't feel that this is something unethical, is it? Thanks for any help.
