Hello all new to this forum: I have a Samsung E-316 and I live in St Michael MN I used to be on the TDMA network and I could get service out there if I was sitting still or by a window. I am familar with how the TDMA network works. the reps at AT&T told me that if I switched to GSM that my service would get better. and I am not kidding when I say this but it HAS gotten worse. I have made about 15 calls to customer service with no help to the situation. they just way that I am in a low or average area. but I get dropped call after dropped call.
a couple of thing I am going to try are
1) switching networks on my phone
2) external antenna
3) the tape antenna or the stick on one
does any one have any thoughts on these Ideas.
please let me know

The tower you're on with GSM may not be the tower you were on with TDMA.

You may or may not be able to do that.
2) external antenna
That would most likely help.
3) the tape antenna or the stick on one
That only serves one purpose - to line the pockets of those who sell them. It doesn't make cellphones work any differently.
