I recently extending my plan 2 more years and was sent a LG L1400 by choice. The phone after 10 days dies, so the E-Store where I purchased my phone issued me a new one. No problem right? Well 10 days later this phone craps out, so the rep at th E-Store tells me that they can upgrade me to a V400. Little did I know they were just lying to me. I went to the Cingular Store near me to try to get this cleared up with the phone support and since I didn't get my phone through the actual store they couldn't do much but assits. Let me add the reps at the cingular store were amazing, nicest people ever and willing to even help me cancel my plan. So wut it basically comes down to is that the ppl on the phone lied to me to get me to go over my 30 days so they could charge me 150 for cancelation, little did they know that they would be paying for the cancelation. I ended up threatining them that I will press charges and take them to court for misrepresentation, the supervisor of the phone support ended up mailing me a shipping label so I could send back my piece of crap phone and they said they would cover the $150 fee. So for anyone who is having problems, go to your cingular store (assuming they have good representatives like mine in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio) and have them call customer support for you or have the manager of the store call for you, you'll get a lot farther then just doing it yourself.
