Hi,
I have a question, i have a family share plan through ATT/Cingular (whoever this crap is now) and have a question. I'm wondering, is it possible for them to cancel two of my five phones on the plan? I want to move them to a new plan from Cingular.
Thanks for any help!

I haven't heard much positive feedback regarding Cingular’s acquisition of AT&T Wireless... and I'm not certain regarding your question or all the details your particular situation ... I don't see why there'd be an issue but your best bet might be to call your provider and ask them. I'd beware though of the fine print and make certain there are no extra costs and that your particular phone and plan can actually be used for this and such...

you can only cancel the lines if they are off contract on att, otherwise if you migrate them you make a whole new contract, or if you cancel them without migrating them over than you have to pay 175 per phone in cancellation fees.
wait til the contract is over, cancel what you need to cancel, and keep what you need to keepa.k.a - Kinjutsu11

definately just move everyone over to cingular. This is the only way it will work. Their family share plans are really cheap and it's only $10/extra line. you will be able to talk to anyone with Cingular (even people that are still on AT&T calling plans) for free and that cuts down the minute usage a lot

min. plan for $10 additional lines is on a 69.99 plan, below that its 20 for the additional lines, just wait til the contract is up on the phones you dont want anymore, cancel them, if you want to migrate over to cingular you can, but it will extend the contract on EVERY phone you take over
