yes! as long as they have the same service provider. just pop your sim to your new at&t phone and your ready to go. my advise is if you can find an unlock one that's alot better.

if you have at&t phone (lock) it will not accept any sim card from any diff provider. the phone will display WRONG SIM CARD. so get unlock phone that will accept any sim card in the world. just type in unlock cell phone on ebay search.

but remember that not every carrier uses SIM cards, so make sure you get a GSM carrier, eithert-mobile or cingular, if you decide to get a new provider, gettin sprint or verizon wont work with the phone you bought

My statements and views are exactly that, my own, they do not reflect the views or statements from T-Mobile or any company i talk about.

As long as the phone you buy is unlocked and it's a GSM phone, it will work with your current carrier (ATT) keep in mind though that if it's not an ATT branded phone you will have to set your web settings in order for your browser to work properly (M-MODE).

yeah, i got an unlocked cingular phone (nokia 6230) and I'm using my AT&T SIM. It worked as soon as I put the SIM in, but I had to call to get the web settings.
Since you have an AT&T SIM and you are getting a AT&T phone, you will not have a single problem...Just remember to store your contacts to your SIM so you don't have to transfer them all over
