Question about Cingular Signal Strength

I have a Nokia 6620. I've noticed, at times, my signal strength will vary from 4 bars to 1 bar and back to 4 bars even though I'm standing still. Does the signal strength vary with how much traffic there is on the tower?
Also, using EDGE I've notice internal connection can take different amounts of time to connect. Does the amount of tower traffic affect internet connection times or is EDGE second in priority when competing with phone traffic?

no what you need to do is call 611 tell them to send a signal out to your phone you are having alot of drooped calls..when they do it turn off take sim out and put back in with in 3 hours your service will get better...
