Its either all or nothing. Here soon youll beable to unsend your txt though, provided you and the recipient have the unsend optioned phones. Not sure if till cost to unsend(I'd imagine it would)

if they havent read the text yet, u can delete it off both phones. it was juss recently announced. btw, u can actually block both incoming and outgoing messages. My parents had cingular do that option to their phone, but blockin a single number is pretty unlikely

A few years ago I was wondering about this too. Before I changed my number, I was getting virus emails sent to my mobile email address and on average was getting about 150 text messages a day.
Luckily Cingular was able to not charge me for those, but its still better if you could maybe block stuff like that.

If you have cingular you can block individuals sending from email or members of your groups, once you register to media net online and create an alias.
With Group Messenging, how do I block messages from a specific user?
Using your PC, you can block someone from sending you messages by putting them on your block list. Log into Group Messaging and select Block List on the left. Type in their handle and select Block.
Can I block other messages sent to my phone?
You can block text or multimedia messages sent via e-mail. When you get an e-mail from someone you'd like to block, simply reply to the e-mail with the word "block." As a Cingular subscriber registered to the Message Center, you can also indicate this in the Message Options of the Preferences section. However, this won't work for Mobile to Mobile text messages sent from other phones.
Can I block messages sent to my wireless e-mail address?
As a Cingular subscriber registered to the Message Center, you can block all e-mail messages sent to your phone or only those that are sent to your 10-digit wireless number rather than your alias. You can also identify individual e-mail addresses ([email protected]) and domains (company.com) that you wish to block. If a domain is entered in your block list, all messages sent from that domain will be blocked—unless a specific address is entered in the allow list. Control these settings from Block Message Preferences in the Preferences section.

Perfectly said TroyBoy30. I should add that if you are getting unsolicited TXT messages from companies that are asking you to subscribe to something or reply with OK, or Y to a purchase you never requested for, simply reply to the text message with STOP ALL, or CANCEL ALL and you will never hear from the company again.
