    hey all,
i received a call from Tmobile saying that they would give me a free phone or something if i rejoined their service(i terminated about a week ago) i had lost my simcard in my house for the past year.
i was out of contract. during that week, i went to cingular. i bought the black v3 and now i want to switch to tmobile. i will keep on paying my cingular bill, but the tmobile willl go under a family plan with a person in my family.

now, i have a few questions:
    1. Should i switch?, is it worth it?, is cingular better than tmobile or vice versa
    2. how can i unlock this black razr so it will work with tmobile.
    3. can i obtain JUST a new simcard with a plan?
    4. is black better than silver in the razrs i mean?

Depends on where you are but in the Northwest, T-Mobile only works in the bigger metro areas. small towns, coast line forget it. By comparison, Cingular works practically everywhere.

If you have noticed increased coverage areas since you have been on Cingular then I would think it would be a no-brainer. But if you are in a major city and don't leave then it's a toss-up.

You are going to still pay for your Cingular bill, and it is worth it???? I don't know about that.... I would keep Cingular & keep the expenses down.

Bombarde has a good point, while T-Mobile may give you more minutes per month, it will not do you any good if their network does not cover your area adequately...

and that is why when you compare the plans.. cingular may have less minutes than tmobile for the same price.. but cingular provides a much better coverage area than tmobile..

There isn't a difference between cingular's black razr and their silver razr, HOWEVER, t-mobile's RAZR adds a video camera to the features and its only in silver, so t-mobile's razr has an extra feature, and as far as who you should get, check the coverage in your area with both, see which one is better, try the phone out during your trial period (t-mo - 14 days, cing - 30days) and pick the better of the two, you never really know until you try it. Oh, and if you travel to certain areas of the country, either carrier should be able to pull a coverage check on that specific area to see whether or not it works for you, good luck!

you can go to motox.com and make the video work on both the silver and black razrs.
