If I bought a Sony W800i off the internet would it work with Cingular? It is a GSM phone so I am guessing it will.
Also after I purchased it what would i have to do to get a plan through cingular?

Problem with the w800 is that is doesn't have the 850 Mhz band which means you will run into some signal problems whenever you reach an area that's only transmits on that band....

yea i just got my W800 and it dosent work with cingular... right now im with t-mobile and it stinks.. so im going to try verizon next.. <3 the phone tho.. worth every penny.. listen to radio in the morning.. mp3's during the day... also teacher said no voice recorders.. little does he know my phone does it... i take pics of people's notes so i dont have to write it.. and the negative effect for photo's looks so cool.. I just got my phone also!
