I've been looking at getting a Euro Sony-Ericsson (K750i) to use on the Cingular network. I live in Southern California where Cingular's GSM 1900 coverage is pretty good. http://www.gsmworld.com/cgi-bin/ni_m...2&cc=us&net=be and also very good for T-mobile http://www.gsmworld.com/cgi-bin/ni_m...2&cc=us&net=we (which cingular has a roaming partnership with). So, if i don't travel outside of this area then I should be able to get pretty decent coverage, right? Are there any other problems?

Why not get the US version and guarantee yourself that it works almost everywhere?

Well, actually that phone isn't a US version. There isn't a US version. Look at the GSM modes: 900/1800/1900. Here in the US there are only GSM 850 and 1900. Most the rest of the world uses 900 and 1800. If you go the the SE website you'll see that that phone isn't offered in the US. http://www.sonyericsson.com/spg.jsp?...&zone=pp&lm=pp There is even a line on the phonescoop site that says "This phone is not currently available from any major US carrier." Thanks anyway.
