what type of phone do you have? Who is your service with? We suppose to guess? Your provider may do it, most don't, but there are several ways to get close. Depending on what phone you have. With Cingular, we can block individuals or groups with our media net accounts if we created one. I'm pretty sure you can't block an entire area code! lol You'll be lucky to block one number a simple work around if you have a motorola and you provider won't block numbers, which most won't, works great as the next best thing. Most people want to be able to block 'private' numbers, not ones that show on caller id, but it will work either way but will be more work for you. If the number shows on the phone simply add it to your phone book and give it a silent ringtone and it will roll to voicemail and won't bother you. Or you could even not answer it! lol

i don't answer them.. its just starting to piss me off... as far as adding in the phone book, its not just one number, its the area code, first 3 digits, than the last 4 are always different

I was thinking SMS mesages not calls. You can block those with a media_net account not calls. I don't think you have any option short of legal action if there was grounds or changing you number. Call CS and see what they suggest.

Not that this helps in anyway, but a few months ago a friend of mine started receiving wrong number calls from a specific area code... long story short it turns out a rather large yellow page ad for a general contractor misprinted their phone number with my friends cell phone number in a metro city yellow pages. There was nothing he could do about it and ended up having to change his wireless number.

how bad would that suck!
a sidenote. i used to get TONS of calls to my old virgin mobile number. turns out that number matched up to some other person, i believe that her name was ann. well she gave that number to a credit collection company, and i don't know how many times i argued with them to stop calling because it was a wrong number.
but really, how many times does a collection agency get that excuse. i can't blame them for not believing me. but they stopped when i told them they were going to start reimbursing me for my minutes.
