    i lost my phone while skiing in Colorado. and im trying to get a new one and i found a brand new unlocked amoi s6 on ebay. and i was wondering if it would work in atlanta ga? it said sometthing about checking with cingular to see if it used a 1900 frequency. im not very good with phones. oh yeah i have cingular.

    Never heard of that brand before but the frequencies you need to focus on are 850 and 1900 because that is all we use here in the states so if the phone has at least 1900 it will work in some places but if it works in 850 than you are definitely ok.

    in my opinion, if the phone isn't dual band 850/1900, don't buy it. this phone isn't (according to google search).

    i see too many people selling off phones that lack the 850 band due to the reception problems.

    save yourself a headache with that phone. i'd wager that you'll be on here asking what to do with it next in no time.
