I just got my cingular phone like dec 24th and I did *225# to check the balance today and its 179$ wtf. I put a few ringers on and stupid people txt'd me I think what should I do play dumb and let my mom try to get out of it or tell before its too late?

imo, you need to take care of this immediately.
is it your plan? you refer to your mom. is it in her name? if so, you owe it to her to alert her of some major charges.
i would contact customer service to review your current bill. it may be your activation charges, phone purchase (if applicable), and current monthly charges.
call them up, that's what they are paid to do.

check it out. we had text charges on ours (granted only $2 worth), but they reversed those because my wife didn't even know how to text message.
make sure that the $130 is legit charges before you get too excited.
