He is willing to go about 80-100$. Yes he does wan't a flip phone he thinks the LG Ce500 is ok but he is starting to change his mind a little he wants to get a phone a bit simular to the i850 or i870 for nextel if Cingular carries any phones that are anything simular to those two.

It's going to hard to find a nice phone under 100. For non-flip phone motorola L6 is nice but it's around 180 now. He can probably get it for free if he opens a line with 2 year contract for cingular though

an lg rep once told me that they have trouble with the sim technology. actually, they blamed the card manufacturers, but to me it's funny that other cell mfgs can make the cards work.

Here's the deal. It will be nearly impossible to find a good deal ($80-100) on a phone without signing a new contract. Once you are locked in to a contract and you can't just re-sign for whatever reason, your best bet is eBay. Just find a phone that you like that is GSM and look for it on eBay. The easiest thing to do is buy an unlocked phone.

He is wondering if it is possible to like have a cingular plan but use a diffrent type of phone for exmaple like have a contract with cingular but use a nextel or sprint phone like the I860, I850, I870 exc... Is it possible to switch the sim chip or no way possible?
