    Assuming you are talking about SonyEriccson phones, these models which are basically the same phones will NOT work with Cingular's network, this is a tri-band handset that works on the 900, 1800, 1900 mHz band, Cingular's dominant band is 850mHz...

    it may work in areas where Cingular uses the 1900 Mhz band, but like i said before, you WILL run into coverage problems for Cingular prefers the 850 mHz band.

    T-Mobile however does prefer the 1900 band, so it will work with their network .T-Mobile

    and my area code is 94014 .. it says coverage is available and if it doesnt work, the worst that can happen is me switching over to t-mobile right?
