i know this question has probably been asked before, but i couldnt find it anywhere. anyway, i currently have a motorola v220 phone and i am still in my contract. i am looking to upgrade to the siemens s66 phone. i am a college student on a budget and i am looking to get it for as cheap as possible. i was leaning towards ebay because i could get the phone for cheaper than elsewhere. my question is, what would i have to do for me to switch phones??? just take the sim card out and put it in the new phone and im good to go?? also, what does it mean for a phone to be locked/unlocked. any help would be appericiated. thanks

without all the hoopla, you will be able to put your sim card in the phone and it will work fine. I would lean towards getting a Cingular branded phone instead of an "unlocked" phone, sometimes the unlocked phones can't use all features i.e. text messaging, media net, sometimes even voicemail...

If you have an unlocked phone you can always configure it with Cingulars' settings > HERE
