media net and umts

hey there is a new lg phone that is going to be umts compatable if i connected this device to my computer using bluetooth will i get umts speed on a media net unlimited package? thanks let me know

Well bluetooth is not quite as fast as the transfer rate that you would get using a data cable or a card for that matter. With that said you could really use the unlimited media net for edge and probably get away with it but I would be willing to bet that along with UMTS there will be something you will have to have that only the laptop connect offers and that you will not be allowed on the network without i.e. an ip address, basically forcing to upgrade to the laptop connect. Also make sure that the LG supports tethering.
