Hey there guys, I'm hopin' you can help me out. For a long, long time I've been using an old Nokia candy-bar phone (couldn't even tell you the model number) and decided it's time to upgrade. I've done plenty of research, but havn't gotten any real world advice yet.

First of all, I am on a Cingular family plan, so that's what I chose this forum, for Cingular compatible phones.

My main wants go as follows:

mp3 recordable ringtones ("musictones" if you will)
decent camera with ability to customize wallpaper with pictures
    speakerphone
    decent sound quality/few dropped calls
as cost effective as possible (not willing to drop $200 on a phone)
bluetooth certainly NOT needed, at all

Now, I have the ability to get a Razr V3 for about $10, and still stay on my plan, but I don't believe you can record and use your own ringtones on there. If someone could confirm this, that would be fantastic. I had narrowed my other choices to the Nokia 6102, and the Sony Ericsson Z520a.

Let me know what you guys think, and thanks in advance for your help.

With the RAZR, you are able to download Mp3 ringtones(Music tones) but not actually record them. The Nokia 6102 does actually let you use your recordings as your ringtones, but not real sure of how great it might sound.

$10 for a Razr? that sounds like an excellent deal....

you can always use Mobile Phone Tools to edit mp3's and transfer them from your PC to your Razr, you can also use bluetooth to transfer unlocked ringtones from one phone to another.
