If a *67 call is made to a cingular customer can they see what that number is when they go online? I am told that when you go online and view recent calls it doesn't block your number but when they go to answer the phone it is blocked.

that is true...whe the call comes in it is blocked but when you look online or later at the bill and you know the time and date it's NOT blocked.

I have started getting "private" calls recently, and they DO NOT show up on my bill. MY phone number shows up at that date/time. Cingular says that the "tower gets no information on the number" so they put my number in its place.

Anyone know a way around this? I'd really like to know who keeps calling.

I set my Motorola V3i to send all blocked and private calls directly to voicemail without ringing over a year ago and haven't missed anything important since.

Old ex's wanting to hear your voice again, or wrong numbers or telemarketers all can use blocked numbers. I don't want to talk to any of them so if they block their number, they go directly to voicemail. My phone doesn't even ring. It's heaven.
