Re: don't blame your phone blame your network
This may be true but, in the process, customers have had to endure their growing pains, and the blue side has been made to feel like ugly stepchildren very often (this is eveident in the plethora of forums where blues sound off). Customer service during periods of changes can be miserable, and when locked into 2-yr agreements makes one feel like they are held hostage and understandably frustrated. I don't lay all the blame on the csr's, it really is a function of delayed response from upper levels of management to address issues at the lower levels--service provision and inept/uninformed/uncaring reps. What really frosted my cookies at one point was a surly, rude supervisor. Admittedly however, at this time I am overall satisfied with my service and coverage, but will see how things go when my contract expires.

Re: don't blame your phone blame your network
anakin41,May I assume by your post that you are affiliated with Cingular? If so I have a couple of questions for you. Forgive my ignorance but I am very new to the cell phone world. I work in a rural area in northeast Ohio. I need for people to get a hold of me in my place of business for emergency purposes. I tried, for my first dive into the world of cell phones,a Verizon phone and trial plan. It was an LG VX5200. I got very poor reception in my building. I tried it for a few days and it was just not working. I took it back and tried a motorola v325. Same problems, very poor reception. I returned it and cancelled the plan. I tried my sister's T-Mobile Samsung phone and it was worse. I then tried a friend's LG phone with Cingular. I could call him and he could call me anywhere in that building with crystal clear reception. I tried my other sister's Motorola phone with Cingular and again great reception anywhere in the building. So,according to you,it's not the phones,it's the carrier? What phone should I get from Cingular to use as that, just a basic phone for emergency communication purposes? I don't need all the bells and whistles just a durable reliable phone that gets great reception from the Cingular network. What would you recommend? Thank you and forgive me for making this so long.
